Her Place

They say all we know is God the Father
because a woman’s place is in the home
(or heavens). She needs to be protected
by her husband’s strength, hidden
so She won’t be disrespected.

But what if we’ve got it all wrong?

What if, for the last couple
thousand years (only a few days
for Gods like them), Heavenly
Father has been staying home,
tending and nurturing the kids on Earth
while Heavenly Mother is off at the Inter-Galaxy
Conference of the Gods where She’s
confidently presenting their joint research
on solar system design, swapping stories
of creation fails and surprise successes,
making connections with other Gods, and
debating the pros and cons of creating
a carbon-based life system?

What then?
